WELCOME TO FLORIDA HOME CLASSICS – AN ADVENTURE IN ARCHITECTURAL DELIGHT.

Florida Home Classics is the logical outgrowth of the residential component of Robert A Harris Architect's Florida practice. Since 1969 Mr. Harris and his associates have crafted custom and speculative housing designs for their clients. In addition many of the firm's original designs for speculative housing have proven to be successful in the marketplace and are thus chosen for representation as a "Classic". Most designs in the collection represent custom solutions. Unique site conditions and/or functional requirements have, in the hands of talented designers, imparted distinguishing features to these homes. Florida is a virtual melting pot of residential style, due largely to the tastes brought to the peninsula (and panhandle) by those from other states and countries. Thus, the originals of Florida Home Classics may be said to be from the Northeast, the Midwest, Spain, the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, as well as from our early "cracker" settlers. The accompanying portfolio represents all of these styles.
